The main and only difference between two-handed ice drills and classic ones is that the upper handle of the ice drill is shifted relative to the ice drill axis by 130 mm, and the lower handle by 150 mm. This arrangement of the handles allows you to rotate the ice drill with both hands at the same time, thereby increasing the speed of drilling holes in the ice. In addition, the dimensions of the ice auger in the transport position are significantly reduced.
In all other characteristics, two-handed ice augers fully correspond to the classic ones. The production of ice axes with a drilling diameter of 150 mm is aimed at covering an empty niche in the interval between diameters 130 and 180 mm. In cases where an increased diameter of the hole is needed, and the use of an ice drill at 180 is still impractical, the one hundred and fiftieth will become an indispensable tool for the fisherman. The center-to-center distance of the blade mounts has been increased for greater rigidity and differs from ice drills of other diameters produced by TONAR Plus JSC.
