Ice auger "TORNADO M2 Junior" is a variant of the already well-proven ice auger "TORNADO-M2" with a diameter of 100 mm with a shortened auger length, which is perfect for reservoirs European and southern parts of Russia. Thanks to its design, the ice auger is distinguished by a high speed of drilling holes.
Compared to classic ice augers the pitch of the auger turns is increased by 10%, which ensures faster release of the hole from slush and reduces the drilling force.
The upper handle of the ice drill is offset relative to the ice drill axis by 101 mm, and the lower handle by 169 mm. This arrangement of the handles allows you to rotate the ice drill with both hands at the same time, thereby increasing the speed of drilling holes in the ice. A reinforced wing screw with a modified thread pitch on the lock parts made it possible to completely solve the problem with the spontaneous unscrewing of the wing and weakening the lock.
The telescopic extension rod allows you to step-by-step increase the drilling depth if necessary. The handles are made of soft plastic, which remains pleasant to the touch even in severe frosts.
