When developing the LadyBur ice drill, all the features of using an ice drill in competition conditions were taken into account. It combines all the best from the sports ice drill LR-100S and the TORNADO-M2 100 ice drill, which is used by thousands of sports fishermen, including the Russian national jig fishing team.
Technical characteristics: Drilling diameter, mm: 100. Drilling depth, mm: up to 1085. Length in working position, mm: 1574. Length in folded position, mm: 1123. Weight without cover, kg: 2.65 (±0.2). The significantly increased length of the barrel and the number of turns of the auger make it possible to drill ice to a depth along the entire length of the ice auger without removing it from the ice. The maximum drilling depth is 1085 mm.
The upper handle of the ice drill is offset relative to the ice drill axis by 105 mm, and the lower handle by 165 mm. This location of the handles allows you to rotate the ice drill with both hands at the same time, thereby increasing the speed of drilling holes in the ice. A reliable lock, which has proven itself well on TORNADO ice screws, with a reinforced wing screw guarantees the absence of backlash and absolute alignment of the auger and handle.
The handles are made of soft plastic, which remains warm and pleasant to the touch even in severe frosts.
The ice drill is equipped with standard TONAR knives; you can also install Helios semicircular knives, which are maximally adapted for drilling any type of ice, including wet ice. If necessary, you can install knives with a diameter of 130 mm, which will increase the diameter of the hole. A smaller number of revolutions required for drilling a hole, high-quality and quick removal of ice crumbs, a special angle of inclination of the platforms for the knives - all this contributes to more efficient operation of the LadyBur ice drill!
